We are dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing environment where each child can thrive and reach their fullest potential. Together, we work towards a brighter, more balanced future.
I'm a child therapist who specializes in working with children and adolescents struggling with anxiety.
I've worked with children and families for the past 12 years in various settings and now am in private practice. I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy and play therapy in session, but I love to be creative and find new methods and strategies that best fit your family!
My office is filled with board games, art supplies and anything else your child may need to feel they are in a safe place.
Individual sessions with your child help them express their emotions and learn new behaviors.
Family Therapy helps family members better understand each other, support one another and work through difficult situations.
Parent or Caregiver Consultations are used to provide feedback, support and problem solving.
The first session is a chance for us all to meet, I ask that at least one parent attend. The first half will be spent together discussing what your family needs and the second half will be one on one with your child.
Begin by booking a free consultation call. This is a great opportunity for us to meet, discuss your child's needs, and see how our therapy can support you. It's easy and stress-free. Just pick a time that works for you!
This is a chance for me to hear more about your concerns and offer suggestions as well as an opportunity for you to ask questions and see whether therapy with me is the right fit.
I take BCBS, Optum and United health insurance. Some insurance plans may have a copay of about $20 per session for behavioral health
When looking for a therapist, you may see may different letters after their name which can be confusing! LMHC, LMFT or LICSW are all masters level therapists. Phd or PsyD are doctoral level, or psychologists. An MD, is a psychiatrist and they are the only one who can prescribe medication. I am an LMHC!
Your child may be ready for therapy if their symptoms of anxiety are interfering with their ability to get through their day. I typically see kids who are struggling in school, at home or with sleep. This is also something I am happy to talk through during a consultation phone call.
I see kids in person at my office in Watertown, MA as well as virtually. I prefer to see younger kids in person to use art and play.
